Nineteen ninety-one. Adidas designed one of the most divisive, most loved, most instantly-recognisable away shirts in football history: the Bruised Banana. Yellow base, black-and-navy zig-zag graphic, and a piece of design so bold it defined an entire generation of Arsenal fans. Thirty-five years later, they've flipped it.
This is that shirt in reverse.
The base is Collegiate Navy — the deep blue that used to be the accent colour on the original. And the yellow that used to be the base is now the accent, running through the logos, the collar trim and the sleeve cuffs. Red details tie it back to Arsenal's identity. The Bruised Banana turned inside out.
The Adidas Trefoil returns on the chest — the same logo Ian Wright and Tony Adams wore on the 91-93 original.
A cult classic, same DNA, opposite side of the coin.
Why the Fan Version
Same design as the Player Version, built for a different job. The Player Version is cut close and kept light for match day. This one is made for everything else — college, travel, the pub screening, the stands — and for being washed again and again without losing its look.
What's different
-
Relaxed stadium cut — sits like your favourite tee instead of hugging the body the way the Player Version does
-
Embroidered crest & logos — stitched and slightly raised, so they hold up wash after wash instead of peeling
-
Denser, softer-feel fabric — keeps its shape and drapes better on everyday wear
-
Easy sizing — take your usual size; no sizing up needed
Care: wash cold, inside out, and hang to dry.
