Villa dropped the sky blue trim for gold this season, and the away shirt is the one that benefits. Black base, gold crest, gold adidas Trefoil — the retro logo, not the modern one — and a tricolour collar and cuffs in light blue, claret and yellow.
Look closely at the front and sleeves and there's a zigzag and diamond pattern woven into the material. Most people will never notice it. That's rather the point.

365 Insight: That woven pattern is the Founding Lamp — the bronze statue outside Villa Park, put up in 2014 to mark 140 years since the club was founded in 1874. Villa didn't print a picture of it. They turned it into the texture of the shirt.
